Fuel Uplift Services
Nationwide uplift and transfer services for your old fuels
If you have redundant fuels or oils onsite, our product uplift team can help you to either remove your old fuels or transport them to another location. We have the tools and expertise to remove waste fuel products from your site and recycle it back into the market.
Not only does this remove a potential liability to the environment, the oil we remove can be sold and turned into an additional revenue stream for your business. There are rules and regulations concerning the safe storage of fuels on site, so it can often become more costly for businesses to keep and maintain unwanted fuels, than have them removed.
How does fuel uplift work?
In order to complete a fuel uplift effectively, we take the following steps in every case.
- Site survey and technical evaluation of the waste material to assess condition, potential value and best method of recovery.
- Development of a phased plan for removal with appropriate risk and environmental assessments.
- Removal of primary material, ready for release to the market and prompt stage payment.
- Removal of tank residues, degassing of the tank and complete decontamination to permit future use. Or, if required, complete removal of tank from site.
Case study – Derwent power station
Derwent power station has benefited from our services, having recently used Crown Oil UK to complete a major fuel uplift. We removed 25 million litres of gas oil and 6.3 million litres of lubricants at Derwent. This project was completed without technical problems or spillages, an achievement made possible by our years of experience within the fuel industry.
